Description:
Our client is a Dandenong based kitchen fabricator and also operates several other subsidiary businesses in and around Melbourne. They are looking for an experienced accountant to manage the accounting and financial activities of their businesses. The accountant will be directly report to the senior management.
This position involves
- Prepare company financial reports and analyse data collected for all the businesses within the group
- Generate financial reports that display the company's profits, equity and cash flow
- Summarise current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
- Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
- Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
- Secures financial information by completing data base backups.
- Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
- Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing account information and trends.
- Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
- Assisting the preparation of budgeting and forecasting reports
You will need
- An attention to detail and accuracy
- Capable to work autonomously as well as part of a team
- Experience with financial reporting requirement
- Experienced in a manufacturing firm can be advantageous
- Bachelor Degree with a major in Finance or Accounting
This role is a full time position with a salary range of $65,000-$ 75,000 (+ superannuation) depending on experience.
