About The Role
As the Payroll Accounts Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient administration of payroll processes, with a focus on meticulous attention to detail and adherence to regulatory guidelines. You will oversee a broad range of responsibilities including managing journal entries and novated leases to reconciling accounts and overseeing end-of-month payments. Your commitment to problem-solving and dedication to fostering collaborative relationships will contribute significantly to the smooth operation of our payroll department and broader financial objectives.
Additionally, you will:

Reconcile/review payroll general ledgers, salary costing updates, JDE journals and Oracle workflow notifications

Oversee the administration of all Salary Sacrifice Lease payments, novated leases & fly in fly out arrangements.

Raise recovery and accrual journals for payments

Ensure all payroll creditors are paid in accordance with internal process

Calculate and pay payroll tax in accordance with Office of State Revenue guidelines.

Oversee Auscoal LSL Claims and ensure they are in accordance with Auscoal legislation
About You
To excel in this role, the Payroll Accounts Officer must exhibit clear and effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing. Additionally, proficiency in analytical and critical thinking is essential, complemented by a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with Thiess systems. Account degree/Diploma preferred.
