u&u have partnered with a well known, established leisure organisation, to recruit the newly created position of Accounts Officer. Operating in Brisbane for over 120 years, our client are a stable business, with a warm and friendly culture.
The Role
The Accounts Officer position is responsible for a wide range of accounting tasks, including managing accounts payable and receivable, processing financial transactions, providing support to month end activities and providing administrative support to the wider organisation.
- Day-to-day and month-to-month management of the accounts payable and accounts receivable function;
- Maintaining accounts payable and accounts receivable supplier and client Information in the system;
- Managing all payables and receivables related queries in a customer-centric manner;
- Managing and developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, suppliers and clients;
- Support payroll processing to ensure it is delivered accurately and in a timely manner;
- Bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations and employee expense management;
- Responsible for ensuring adherence to administration and financial policies and procedures; and
- Assist in the audit preparation and enquiries.
Required Skillset
This role is well suited to an experienced transactional finance professional who is customer-centric, attentive, detail oriented and has strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Recent demonstrated experience in a similar role (responsible for payables and receivables), within a professional environment is critical to be successful in this role, and relevant accounting or bookkeeping qualifications are beneficial.

- Located in Yeerongpilly - parking on site;
- Working alongside the Finance Manager;
- Hybrid working on offer;
- Customer centric attitude critical; and
- $70,000 - $75,000 + super.
