About the role

As a Psychologist, you will work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver clinical psychological assessment, therapeutic interventions, and support to individuals on the autism spectrum across the lifespan and their families. The key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Conduct a range of evidence-based assessments (including. diagnostic, cognitive, educational and/or standardised assessments) as required.
  • Deliver individual and group services and supports using key evidence-based psychological therapies and strategies
  • Evaluate new and existing group programs, responding to the needs of individuals on the autism spectrum and their families/carers in consultation with the multi-disciplinary team.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology. One of the following psychology education pathways required for general registration (minimum of six years):
  • Higher degree pathway, Masters level qualification in Psychology
  • 5 + 1 pathway – five-year sequence of study in Psychology plus one year of internship
  • 4 + 2 pathway – four-year sequence of study in Psychology plus two years of internship
  • General registration (or eligibility) with AHPRA.
  • Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation module "Quality, Safety and You" (Module available at: https://www.ndiscommission.gov.au/workers/training-course);
  • Satisfactory DHS Working with Children Clearance, NDIS Worker Screening, and National Police Check.

Provisional Psychologists are also encouraged to apply! (*varying salary)
