As we continue to expand our operations, we have a new opportunity for an experienced Shift Supervisor to join the team working an 7/7 FIFO roster from Perth.The Shift Supervisor will supervise and control all aspects of production, to produce budgeted production output in a safe, sustainable, cost-effective manner to meet customer specifications.
Responsibilities
- Ensure mining operations are conducted in a safe manner, and any safety issues are promptly reported to the Underground Foreman and Site Project Manager
- Perform the daily supervision of the working areas of the mine in accordance with all relevant Acts and Regulations
- Support the Mining Superintendent in the development and implementation of weekly and daily plans for operations and maintenance
- Conduct daily work planning meetings / toolbox meetings
- Liaise with any contractors on site, ensuring their work is coordinated with other mining activities
- Recognise hazards and fill out the appropriate documentation
- Take the lead on explosiveness awareness, tagging procedures, JSAs and fatigue management
- Manual Driver’s licence
- 5 Years Underground experience
- 2-4 years’ supervisory experience
- Working Safely at Heights Certificate
- Underground Shift Supervisor’s Certificate of Competency
- Mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting ability and computer skills, quick learner, very good written and verbal communication skills
- Flexible and reliable work ethic, demonstrated commitment to safety, teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to lead people
- Current Applied First Aid certificate
- Current Dangerous Goods Security Card
