The Role: More Than Just a Job
As a Disability Support Worker, you won't be clocking in and out. You'll be embarking on fulfilling journeys each day to make real impacts in the lives of our high-needs clients. Whether it's helping someone discover a new skill or just being there to listen, your work here truly matters.
What We Require from You:
- Strong Communicator : an individual who is empathetic, autonomous, adaptable, collaborative, shows respect, demonstrates active listening, clear and open communication, and can maintain confidentiality, is culturally competent, and has advocacy ability.
- Resilient & Self-confident : Ready to tackle any challenges that come your way, providing quality care and support to individuals who need it the most.
- Tech-Savvy : Comfortable with Microsoft Office, especially Word & Outlook.
- Shared Values : collaborative, supportive attitude, reliable, problem-solver, accountable, conflict resolving ability, committed, a team player, autonomous, self-aware.
- Flexible : a professional development and continuous learning attitude and being open to shift work, sleepovers, weekends, and working public holidays.
- Licenses and Checks : Current Australian Driver's License and willingness to undergo background checks, including but not limited to First Aid Certificate, Police Checks, NDIS Screening Check, Working with Children Check.
