About Your New Role…

This insightful team leads the design of our category commercial strategy. Together, we develop growth platforms and set strategic priorities under which we shape and advance plans that demonstrate where and how to grow category value. We inform, collaborate and influence actions with cross-functional stakeholders and our customers.

As our new Category Strategy Manager – Category Vision , you will hold a cross-system role that informs the business of the category future portrait and informs and influences our prioritised view of where growth will come from.

With the consumer, shopper and customer front of mind, you will ensure we are looking ahead to anticipate the obstacles we need to navigate and pivot to our advantage.

What will you be doing?

In this role, you will be accountable for the shaping, alignment, and integration of the following:

  • Macro trends and insights; you will identify key themes driving the consumer & shopper mindset and decision making, and how these themes will impact on the NARTD category, and thus become the focal point for business planning in the mid-long term.
  • Growth platforms & Driver profiles; you will lead the development and refinement of our business wide category growth vision with our brand partners and customers. Together we will frame our strategic direction and establish a solid fact base to identify and prioritise key challenges and opportunities to solve for in the pragmatic initiatives we bring to market.
  • Consumer and shopper insights; you will identify the key themes driving Consumers & Shoppers at a channel and category level and bring to life the “So What?” to the diagnostics.
  • Projections and Headroom for Growth: You will review historical & short-term category performance along with future trends and drivers of growth to forecast future category sales trajectory at a customer and category level. This allows us to understand where the main source of growth will come from within our categories and plan accordingly for the portrait of tomorrow.
  • Category Environments Lead: You will be the Category lead and SME in enterprise-wide environment strategy playbooks. Key inputs will include the insight, shaping of strategy and recommendations on CCEP guiding principles to enable, guide and inspire shopper behaviour when interacting with beverages in each environment.
  • Category Strategic Projects: You will lead, shape and deliver recommendations and required actions against specific workstreams and category critical projects in collaboration with cross-functional team members.


Let’s talk about you!

  • Degree qualified
  • Have considerable FMCG industry experience preferably with breadth across functions such as Category, Strategy, National Accounts, Field Sales or Commercial. Alternatively, a strong strategic consulting background, preferably within FMCG industry.
  • Understand FMCG industry best practices and be able to leverage learnings from other categories and markets.
  • Critical thinker with proven ability to form judgement
  • Commercially savvy with strong analytical background with experience analysing complex data from a range of different sources, drawing insights, and forming recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as well as challenge and influence stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading projects
  • Be able to adopt a pragmatic approach to deliver category solutions.
  • Solution oriented with a growth mindset
  • Great communicator and highly developed interpersonal skills
