About the role

TAFE NSW is looking for individuals with current industry experience and knowledge in the Sports Turf, Horticulture and Landscaping industry to work as a Technical Officer on a permanent basis based at the Ryde Campus.

The Technical Officer is responsible for supporting the delivery of education services through the maintenance of delivery locations and equipment, preparation and distribution of teaching resources and other related support and administrative functions.

About You

To succeed in this role you will be customer-focused with demonstrated experience in the provision of high quality administrative support and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced and complex environment.


To be successful in this role you must:

  • Demonstrated technical knowledge and experience in the use of equipment to manage sports turf and lawn areas.
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge and experience of use, care and maintenance of tools, equipment, materials and techniques used in sports turf management area applicable to the role.
  • Hold a current Chemical application ticket AQF3 level or above
  • Proven ability to create, modify or adapt equipment or other resources to meet requirements.
  • Demonstrated organisational skills and ability to work as a member of a team with minimal supervision in area relating to the role.
