We are seeking a dedicated Therapeutic Specialist to join our team in the Richmond Tweed region. This role involves collaborating and working closely with local Managers and Coordinators to deliver vital clinical and therapeutic services to children, young people, families, and carers.
Responsibilities:
- Guide and support carer and staff interactions with children and young people
- Conduct assessments and develop therapeutic treatment plans
- Lead reflective practice sessions to enhance carers' and staff's therapeutic skills
- Provide therapeutic services, including Family Therapy, directly to clients as required
- Work closely with program staff and service partners to manage complex cases and ensure practice quality
- Offer specialist expertise, case consultancy, and review to promote reflective and evidence-based practice
- Understanding and appreciation of Aboriginal culture and values, with awareness of issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people, and families
- Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, or related discipline
- Current registration with AASW or AHPRA
Key Selection Criteria:
To excel in this role, you must address the following:
- A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values, with awareness of current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people, and their families
- An appropriate tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, or related discipline
- Post Graduate training in relevant child, adolescent, and family clinical practice, family therapy, and systemic thinking (strongly preferred)
- $95-105k base salary + super
