We are seeking an experienced and friendly receptionist to join our new team at Optimal Health Medical Centre Gregory Hills.

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our team, with potential to develop your skill set within our practice.
You will be working with a professional and supportive team, complying with the practice policies and procedures, all within an enjoyable and friendly work environment. Your role will consist of meeting and greeting patients in a professional and courteous manner. You will be taking telephone enquiries, scheduling patient consultations, invoicing and receipting, as well as attending to the needs of the Doctors and Practice Manager daily.
Opening are as follows;
Monday - Friday 8:00am - 8:00pm
Saturday 8:00am -6:00pm
Sunday 8:00am -4:00pm
The Candidate
To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong administrative skill set and be familiar with the health care industry. You will be a proactive professional with a high level of attention to detail and the capability to effectively manage your time throughout the workday. You will be a clear and effective communicator, with excellent interpersonal skills, who can work well in a team environment.
To be eligible for this role you will:
- Have experience in medical practice. Best practice software experience highly preferred
- Be able to maintain confidentiality regarding patient care in all aspects of the practice.
- Meeting and greeting patients in a professional, caring and courteous manner.
- Have a keen eye for patient flow with the booking schedule, including informing patients of any delays of appointments.
- Ensuring medical records are managed confidentially and efficiently.
- Have working knowledge of Windows based software systems (e.g., Word, Excel)
- Have an understanding of the Medical Benefits Schedule & medical terminology
- Attend to infection control standards of the common areas of the practice, as well as be an advocate for compliance with OHS and the practice Accreditation standards.
- Be able to communicate and work productively within a team environment and ability to communicate with a diverse range of people.
- Be able to attend to doctors’ requests in a timely manner.

Salary: $25.00 – $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week

Experience:
- Medical receptionist: 1 year (Preferred)
