- Available to you will be working a 9-day fortnight with RDOs every second week.

As the Senior Tax Accountant you will be responsible for overseeing all taxation obligations, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and providing valuable financial insights to support decision-making processes.
You will:
- Prepare and deliver on all tax and government-related reporting obligations, including Financial Statements, Taxation Returns, FBT, Payroll Tax, GST, and PAYG
- Perform financial analysis to detect trends and forecast future needs
- Contribute to tax disclosures within Powerlink's annual financial statements and reports to achieve compliant and commercially advantageous outcomes
- Develop, manage, and maintain tax reporting registers and general ledger reconciliations to ensure compliance and data integrity
- Provide advice, guidance, and direction on tax-related matters to internal stakeholders
- Mentor and coach junior staff to facilitate their professional growth and development
Your expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related discipline
- Membership in CPA or CA
- Strong background in corporate taxation matters
- Proficiency in financial accounting systems, processes, and techniques
- Experience in producing tax-related information within annual statutory financial statements
- Familiarity with Australian Accounting Standards and Interpretations issued by the Australian Accounting Standards Board
- Thorough understanding of taxation laws and regulations
