About the Role
As the Senior Accountant, you'll play a pivotal role in internal relationships with non-finance stakeholders. This is more than just an accounting role, it’s the glue that holds together numerous departments and services. Managing one part time support person you will be tasked with the following:
Key Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing and driving all financial management, ensuring high level of reporting and accountability
- Taking charge of regulatory requirements, risks management and overseeing the holistic approach to financial information
- Influencing, co-ordinating and cultivating internal and external relationships with non-finance stakeholders to achieve reporting clarity and support continuous improvements
- Ad hoc analysis and reporting for ongoing change & development
- Preparing annual budgets and supporting documentation in conjunction with the ELT
- Establishing and maintaining up-to-date financial management, accounting and reporting systems
- Establishing and maintaining financial and budgetary controls over cash, capital expenditure and investments
- Overseeing the preparation of financial / statistical questionnaires and documents for government and relevant authorities
- Overseeing systems for the payment of authorised creditors and manage collection of debts
You will be CA/ CPA qualified, highly experienced in all facets of accounting, have advanced people skills, be looking for a broad role with some HR administration to support the business. You will have good Excel skills and the ability to make continuous improvements to both reporting and operational processes.
