About the opportunity
WesTrac is currently seeking Auto Electricians to work in our Rebuilds section at our General Workshop to provide essential support to our largest mining customers in NSW. The roles involve working on various auto electrical systems and components, diagnosing faults, and conducting repairs, maintenance, and installations. The successful candidates will demonstrate experience in a similar role, hold a relevant trade qualification, and have a strong focus on safety and quality workmanship. Rosters - Multiple roster options available!
Option 1: Monday - Friday (rotating days/nights)
  • Roster Pattern: Monday to Friday - 2 weeks of days, followed by 2 weeks of nights.
  • Day shift: 0600-1630 & Night shift: 1600-0230

Option 2: Lifestyle Roster (15/28) - working only half the year
  • Roster Pattern: Complete your nights in 1 swing, every 3 weeks! 12-hour shifts.
  • Day shift: 0600-1830 & Night shift: 1800-0630

Responsibilities
  • Performing electronic diagnostics and identifying faults
  • Assembling and installing electrical and electronic systems on CAT machinery
  • Applying your extensive CAT knowledge to solve problems autonomously
  • Setting a leadership standard by living our values of Safety, Pride, Accountability, Respect & Customer
  • Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment

Skills & Experience
  • Trade qualified Auto Electrician and/or extensive industry experience
  • Caterpillar equipment experience and product knowledge will be highly regarded
  • Committed to meeting customer requirements
  • Supportive and "can do" attitude
  • Strong experience with Auto Electrical fault finding and diagnostics (desirable)
  • Dedicated to maintaining safe work practices and environment
