Service Victoria is an Administrative Office attached to the Department of Government Services (DGS). DGS was established on 1 January 2023 to improve everyone's experience of doing business and interacting with the Victorian government.
Service Victoria and DGS are bringing important day-to-day services together in one department to make things easy and seamless for Victorians and businesses.
About the role
As a Business Analyst, you'll drive critical analysis and facilitate seamless operations. Your key objectives include deciphering business needs, identifying opportunities for improvement, and translating requirements into actionable insights. Your role ensures continuity and contributes to the team's success amidst transition.
To be considered for the role, you must be able to demonstrate:
* The ability to analyse complex business problems, understand requirements, and propose effective solutions is essential.
* Proficiency in facilitating meetings, workshops, and discussions with stakeholders to elicit requirements, resolve conflicts and drive consensus.
* Capability to identify problems, propose solutions, and make decisions based on data analysis and stakeholder input.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills for effectively interacting with stakeholders, documenting requirements, and presenting findings.
* Capacity to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with developers, testers, project managers, and other stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
Mandatory requirements
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
* Ability to facilitate meetings, workshops, and discussions with stakeholders to elicit requirements, resolve conflicts, and drive consensus is increasingly important.
* Strong understanding of software development methodologies
* 3 years of proven business analysis experience.
