Randstad has partnered with a federal government agency for an experienced procurement professional to join the team as an Assistant Director on a 12 month contract. This role can be based out of our Surry Hills or Parramatta office.
Your new role as Assistant Director Procurement:
We are seeking an experienced procurement professional to lead the procurement function through a period of change. This role will work to enhance and uplift procurement capability along with providing strategic direction.
- Ensure adherence of procurement framework to Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs), policies, and guidelines
- Establish and integrate processes and systems for monitoring, reporting, and enhancing procurement-related compliance
- Formulate and implement policies, procedures, and processes to support procurement framework, including assessing risk in procurement matters
- Develop and deliver training sessions to operational areas regarding the requirements of the Commonwealth Procurement Framework
- Enhance the internal capability of the Procurement team
- Develop, implement, and oversee the Annual Procurement Plan
- Provide support to operational areas in drafting expressions of interest, market approaches, and invitations to tender, including guidance on utilising existing panel arrangements
- Address government requests for procurement information periodically and prepare procurement briefings
About you:
- Thorough familiarity and comprehension of the Australian Government's procurement policy framework, including the Commonwealth Procurement Rules
- Demonstrated experience in enhancing procurement capability within a team and organisation.
- Proficient in communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Capable of prioritising tasks and effectively managing multiple deadlines concurrently.
- Must be an Australian Citizen
