HVTC is excited to offer a four-year apprenticeship opportunity for an Apprentice Vehicle Body Builder, hosted by Krueger Transport Equipment located in Wetherill Park. This apprenticeship is an excellent chance to gain valuable skills and hands-on experience while working alongside experienced professionals. Successful completion of the program will result in the attainment of a Certificate III in Automotive Manufacturing Technical Operations - Bus, Truck and Trailer.


What you will be doing:

  • The apprentice will work under the guidance of experienced professionals to learn and develop the skills required to fabricate.
  • Assemble, and install various components of heavy vehicle trailers to ensure they meet safety and quality standards.
  • The tasks performed daily will include undertaking body-building works on heavy vehicle truck trailers, which will involve welding, bolting, riveting, chiselling, grinding, and other related activities.
  • The apprentice will also follow blueprints and specifications to determine job requirements, diagnose faults, and recommend repairs, as well as complete daily paperwork.
