Accounts Payable Officer - Sydney CBD - 12 month FTC As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments. Reporting to the regional Financial Controller, you will be responsible for handling various activities on a day-to-day basis.Your New Role
- Obtaining supplier invoices and accurately processing them on a regular basis
- Verify that the activity has been performed and that the invoices are properly coded, authorised, and matched to purchase orders or contracts
- Prepare and process payments via check, electronic transfer, or other methods as required
- Maintain regular communication with suppliers to resolve invoicing discrepancies and address payment-related queries
- Assist in managing vendor relationships, including setting up new vendors and updating vendor information as needed
- Maintain accurate records of supplier invoices and ensure proper documentation is filed and archived
- Support the regional Financial Controller with ad-hoc financial tasks including the processing of staff expenses
What you need to succeed
- Previous experience in Accounts Payable (ideally within the media industry), with experience in handling multi-currency transactions
- Proficiency in accounting software (preferably NetSuite) and Excel
- Multiple currency experience
- GST knowledge preferred but not essential
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
