Accounts Payable Officer

Our client is a global technology leader in the field of mobile technology and home appliances, with a constant focus on innovation. Based in Sydney Olympic Park they are looking for a Accounts Payable officer to join their team.

The Role

This role will be responsible to validating all transitions to ensure compliance is adhered to and working with appropriate stakeholders as required. The role is quite diverse covering aspects of expense management, preparation of monthly payment runs, working with offshore BPO teams and more.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor workflow and priorities payment requests daily ensuring all cases are efficiently and accurately processed.
• Verifying accuracy of incoming payment requests including pick up an abnormal item and duplication
• Processing consumer refund claims /invoice/ employee expense with accuracy in accordance with the policies.
• Preparing weekly and bimonthly payment runs.
• Providing system and policy support to employees
• Provide employee expense training.
• Assisting with month end closing and reporting requirements.
• Employee accounts reconciliation as per required.
• Feedback to BPO on the work quality
• Provide training to BPO team as required.
• Liaise with internal departments and other stakeholders.

• Qualification in Accounting or Related Qualification
• Demonstrated experience in similar role.
• SAP desirable but not essential
• Self-starter who is keen to develop their career.
• Strong attention to detail
• Intermediate level to be able to communicate to stakeholders across all levels.
