Description:

* Strong AP OCR skills with implementation experience - establishing procedures, troubleshooting etc.

* Lead the AP team in processing a high volume accounts payable transactions (10,000+ monthly invoices), ensuring efficiency and effectiveness

* Accurate processing of invoices and credit notes, employee reimbursements, client and government refunds and petty cash reimbursements.

* Reconcile creditor statements on a regular basis ensuring un-reconciled items are followed up and cleared promptly.

* Scan of all supplier invoices, credit notes and adjustments and ensure that they are linked to the transaction within the Financial Management System

* Ensure the month-end processes are completed on a timely basis including monthly AP control account reconciliation and any variances or issues are investigated and cleared promptly.

* Preparation of audit files to support annual statutory accounts.

* Work in close partnership with other Finance staff to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of processes, accuracy and timeliness of information and provide support during busy periods.

* Manage and build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

* Tertiary qualification in accounts administration, accounting, finance or related field with experience managing high volume of financial transactions.

* Proficiency in excel, experience with operating accounting systems, ideally Technology One and advanced experience in process transformation through the use of technology to automate the capture of data and documents such as Kofax, Basware.

* Demonstrated willingness to be hands-on as required to ensure the AP team deadlines.

* Experience in the AP month-end and year-end processes.

* Willingness to driving improvements to systems and processes and support high performance service delivery of the AP Team and efficient and effective processing of accounts payable transactions.

* Demonstrated ability to work independently, recognise issues and use initiative to identify and discuss proposed solutions.
