About the role:

Reporting to the Transfer Stations Manager and based at Artarmon, you will play a key role in safely managing all operations within our branches whilst delivering the required level of service to customers and ultimately the achievement of operational targets. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of professionals, drive operational performance, and contribute to the success of our organization.

Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Develop and implement operational plans, policies, and procedures to safely optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the operations staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including customer service, and maintenance, to coordinate operational activities and achieve company objectives.
  • Manage operational budgets, expenses, and resource allocation to achieve cost-effective operations.
  • Prepare operational reports, performance metrics, and other documentation as required.

About you:

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams to achieve performance goals.
  • Proven experience in an operations management role within an industrial environment is desirable.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational optimization.
  • Strong safety leadership with a functional knowledge of HSE legislation and safety management systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
