The role
An exciting opportunity is now available for an Occupational Therapist - Team Lead to join our team, working with a diverse caseload and a strong focus on genuine capacity building.
This is a position where your demonstrated experience as a leader will further strengthen the Generalist (Adult) service within our wider service offering. You will maintain a caseload along with contributing to quality improvement, day to day leadership along with providing mentoring and support for our Generalist (Adult) team clinicians.
This role is home and community-based with regular travel to client locations and you will provide the highest-quality Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention working with a diverse caseload.
What you'll do
As an Occupational Therapist:
  • Provide functional and psychosocial assessments using a range of tools and approaches
  • Design & implement client-centred, evidence based interventions
  • Design therapy plans that are holistic, centred around a person’s aspirations and define clear outcomes
  • Guide equipment decisions relating to daily activities and assistive technology (where appropriate, or lean on our in-house experts for support with this)
  • Participate in regular supervision and mentoring
  • Participate in regular professional development opportunities (both internal & external)
As the Generalist (Adult) OT - Team Lead:
  • Contribute to shaping and growing the Generalist (Adult) OT service within a dynamic environment
  • Drive the development of clinical practices, procedures and protocols within the team, guided by the Occupational Therapy Lead
  • Provide operational and clinical management to the Generalist (Adult) OT Team to ensure our services are consistent and of best practice
  • Provide operational and clinical supervision to the Generalist (Adult) OT Team
  • Mentor and support team on a day-to-day basis

Requirements
  • Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check or ability to obtain
  • A professional, warm and open mindset
  • Demonstrated experience leading a team of Allied Health professionals
  • Demonstrated NDIS clinical experience
  • Current valid drivers licence & reliable vehicle; ability and willingness to drive as required
