We are seeking an experienced Retail Manager to act as a 2IC supporting the Centre Manager for an exciting super-regional centre in NSW.

The Company:
This opportunity is with an ASX-listed REIT with 30 plus billion of assets under management across multiple asset clases. Our client is a leader in real estate with millions of people enjoying the assets every year.
The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Retail Property professional to join this team and work closely with the Centre Manager on a sub-regional asset. You will act as a 2IC to the Centre Manager with the potential of growing into this leadership position.
The Responsibilities:
  • Daily pre-opening inspections of the Centre with any issues addressed
  • To proactively monitor the debtors situation to ensure that any critical retailers are identified early and managed.
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with all retailers.
  • Identification and management of critical tenancies – including recommendation for exit strategy or assistance program.
  • Ensure all retailers are trading within the permitted use of their leases.
  • Working with the Mall Merchandising Executive to ensure budget is achieved
  • Assisting the Centre Manager in the management of the team
  • Understanding and active participation in preparing and implementing the Centre’s annual business plans
Experience & Skills:
To succeed in this role it is essential that you have a vast amount of experience working within shopping centres or with a retail portfolio at a Retail Manager OR Assistant Centre Management level.
  • Previous experience working within shopping centres, or on a retail portfolio
  • Strong understanding of the Retail Tenancy Act regulations
  • A high level of numeracy/financial skills
  • Tertiary education in a finance or property-related field is desirable
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills
  • Passionate about retail
