Our client requires up to 50 hardworking, nimble-fingered and reliable farm workers to plant, prune, harvest, sort, bunch and pack vegetables Glossodia NSW.MUST be available to start work from April 2024 and be committed to a minimum 5 days per week, with the potential for additional weekend work for the duration of the season (approximately 6-9 months). Varying early starts (anywhere between 0500 and 0700) depending on crops/products availability and management requirements. Flexibility in your availability is crucial in horticulture, as crops growth/harvest is weather driven and may be intermittent. Most work is outdoors which can be cold and wet, or hot and dirty. We need reliable and flexible workers who are physically fit.
Duties may include but are not limited to, harvesting and sorting of fresh vegetables in the fields and in the packing shed as needed. Regular lifting, constant standing and bending are required to pick and pack products. Previous (and current) physical outdoor activities or lifestyle habits will be highly regarded. You are required to work in a team. Modern Horticultural Award 2020 Hourly Rate is on offer. Ability to adhere to company QA and OH&S requirements is essential. Drivers licence and own transport is required as there is limited public transport access to the farm during the hours required. Work is offered through an agency on a casual basis.
