Summerland Farm is located on a beautiful macadamia and avocado farm, set high on the hills of the Alstonville plateau overlooking the Ballina coastline. It is a major tourism attraction, with a working farm, restaurant, functions centre, packing and dehusking facilities. About the role:
Our Restaurant Team Leaders provide effective supervision and support to a small team to carry out day to day operations. Team Leaders assists to maintain a high-quality standard to achieve business outcomes and to provide excellent customer service, ensuring repeat business in the restaurant.
This role will focus on providing specific coaching, sometimes on a one-to-one basis, enabling employees with a disability to develop skills that meet key performance outcomes for the hospitality and retail business services.
Key Responsibilities:
Support employees to effectively deliver hospitality products and services to customers and daily restaurant procedures were met
Work collaboratively with team members to share knowledge that assists Supported Employees to develop skills and to achieve their employment goals
Provided effective operational leadership, that increases team productivity and creates a positive values-focused culture
Engage customers and create a positive experience within the hospitality space
Maintaining a professional appearance and manner, keeping the working environment and tools/equipment of the trade clear and organised

About you:
Qualification in hospitality; or equivalent knowledge and experience
Demonstrated experience in supervising employees and or teams
Flexibility to work a range of shifts as per hospitality industry requirements, including weekends
A commitment to the Summerland Farm and Aruma's Code of Conduct
Effective verbal and written communication and ability to adapt to individual needs
Effective problem solving and technical skills to solve maintenance and customer matters
Sound organisational skills and ability to prioritise work of a small team
A practical understanding of food safety and WHS requirements
Sufficient physical fitness to meet the manual handling and environmental requirements of the position
A current Australian driver's license
Have NDIS Worker Screening Check and Police Check clearance OR be willing to complete
Have a current First aid and CPR Certificate OR be willing to complete
Desirable:
Formal leadership training (such as Cert IV or Diploma of Frontline Management)
Previous experience working with people with disabilities
RSA certificate
