We are seeking an enthusiastic, confident and vibrant Healthcare - Business Development Manager to join our Medical team in a fulltime position.

About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, confident and vibrant Healthcare - Business Development Manager to join our Medical team in a fulltime position. This role is based in Sydney NSW, predominately working the Sydney South/West territory. This role reports directly to the Medical Sales Manager and on occasions may require travelling to regional New South Wales.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Embody the ‘Yes We Can’ ethos in all aspects of the role and responsibilities.
  • Adapt, promote and encourage a Safety First approach.
  • Grow the medical business in-line with budgets.
  • Manage incoming medical enquiries and take appropriate action.
  • Develop and grow relationships with all healthcare customers including Aged Care, Hospitals, Vets and General Practitioners to overall drive referral growth and new business opportunities.
  • Daily cold calling potential new customers and proactive lead generation.
  • Provide detailed analysis / follow ups and document information and leads from sales department into Supagas Sales Diary every day.
  • Effective and efficient management of customer retention for commercial customers. This includes defending current supply agreements and proactively resigning customers whose contract is within 6 months of “rolling over”.
  • Deal with customer product queries whilst being pro-active and responsive to the needs of our existing customer base.
  • Liaise with the Medical Sales Manager and Branch Managers on all unresolved and dissatisfied customer issues.
  • Ensure all customer records are accurately maintained. These include but are not limited to change of ownership, account forms, Gas Supply Agreements, cylinder counts and lost cylinders.
  • Ensure compliance with TGA requirements.
  • Update customer accounts with all relevant notes from all customer liaisons from both internal and external staff.
  • Provide a high level of customer service to all customers via a prompt response and resolution of Customers issues, serviced same day.
  • Travel to metro and regional branches for reasons including cold calls, equipment servicing, retention, audits and training.
  • Other tasks as required from time to time.
Skills & Experience
  • Prior healthcare sales experience or industry knowledge
  • Post secondary degree (science / business) ideal but not essential
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strategic and problem solving mindset
  • The successful candidate will be required to attend a pre-employment medical examination.
  • As a national essential service provider, servicing vulnerable industries which include health and aged care, Supagas requires all new employees to be full vaccinated against COVID-19, successful candidates will be required to provide an ‘ Immunisation History Statement’ demonstrating full COVID-19 vaccination from the Australian Government
