The Coles Liquor Corporate business is part of the broader Coles Liquor business which services our business customers. Due to rapid expansion and growth, Coles Liquor Corporate have an exciting new opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join in NSW. This is an exciting time to join and leave your legacy, as we expand into new markets with huge potential.

About the role

Reporting to the National Business Development Manager, Coles Liquor Corporate, you will be accountable for delivery of the Coles Liquor Corporate sales budget for your territory (South-East Queensland & Northern NSW) by growing existing accounts, and onboarding new strategic high sales and margin accounts, as well as driving growth in our exclusive liquor brands.

On a day-to-day basis you will be actively targeting and onboarding new business customers, with a focus on on-premise customers and venues across the state in line with our B2B sales strategy. You will also develop new segments in line with market intelligence and increase sales through our existing customer base.

This is an end-to-end role which will see you managing accounts from first contact, through to onboarding the new customer.

You'll also:

  • Develop & implement short, medium- and long-term sales plans to reach growth targets
  • Actively pursue core business customers within target acquisition segments that represent an opportunity to grow profitable sales base
  • Manage key accounts to promote growth within current customer base
  • Engage with customers to promote our Exclusive Liquor Brand range

About you and your skills

We are looking for a commercially minded, results oriented sales professional with proven success within sales and account management. You will be ambitious, accountable, adaptable and be able to drive best outcomes for your market. You will be hardworking, and ready to join a successful team with a progressive culture. Prior experience within hospitality, liquor or a passion for liquor products will be highly regarded, but our key focus is a successful, self-starting, sales pro.

You'll also need:

  • Ability to work autonomously, take ownership for your territory and deliver results with pride
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and customer service skills
  • Strong communication, stakeholder and relationship management and influencing skills
  • Previous sales experience within the liquor, hospitality, catering or professional services sector will also be highly beneficial
  • A tertiary qualification in a business/marketing related discipline an advantage
  • On premise experience an advantage
