About the role
This is the full time position ; you will lead a team that provides disability support services across Greater Sydney. Head office is based in Campbelltown.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Motivating, mentoring and managing a team of Support Workers
- Being the daily point of contact for the team and participants
- Liaise with Participant's and their care team
- Weekly Rostering and reporting
- Providing face to face support to participants
- Adherence to legislation and organisational policies and procedures to ensure appropriate health, safety and wellbeing in the workplace
- Create and implement person centred capacity building strategies with team and participants
- Management of the onboarding of new employees in to the team
- Create and manage participants support plan in line with each participants requirements.
- Coach and develop the team members to reach their highest potential.

Person Specifications (Skills & Knowledge)
- Proven ability to successfully lead, manage and support a team of staff working in residential settings.
- Skills and experience in working with adults with a disability using a participant- centred approach.
- Proven experience in budget preparation and monitoring of financial systems.
- Well-developed time management skills and ability to prioritise workload in competing demands.
- Strong interpersonal, assessment and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of WHS guidelines and management requirements.
Essential Qualifications and Experience Required
- Demonstrated experience working with people with a disability, including supporting people in a residential setting.
- In-depth knowledge of the disability sector including NDIS funding, SIL quotes, and the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework.
- A current driver’s licence
- Computer literacy, in particular proficiency with Microsoft programs.
- Previous experience in supporting, planning, and set up of new services or project managing complex change processes is desirable.
- Tertiary qualification in Social Science, Health or another relevant professional field is highly desirable.

Salary: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
