If you’re looking for a true business partner opportunity, this could be it!Our HR team of 63 talented professionals includes payroll, HSW team and 3 other specialist HR teams (centralised recruitment, HRBPs & L&D) who work collaboratively with the HSWBPs to support success. Aged Care is a growth industry, it’s not for the faint hearted, it’s fast paced and challenging but equally rewarding.You’ll be responsible for providing support across all aspects of CHL HSW strategy, policy, and practice. We recognise that maintaining high standards of safety in the workplace not only benefits the wellbeing of our own people but also the people under our care.In this hands-on role, your well developed writing ability together with your solution focussed mindset and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, will assist in your success. Reporting to the HSW Manager & partnering with key stakeholders to support a strong safety-first culture, you will play an integral role within HSW team. Working closely with the Injury Management Specialists and coordinator, you will have the opportunity to work on projects, develop policies and deliver system analysis reports to stakeholders, in addition to;Ensuring that the highest standards of safety are met across the organisation.Support front line leaders & employees to enable the effective implementation of the Catholic Healthcare Safety Management System across all levels of the organisation.Facilitate & complete hazard identification activities, operational risk assessments & other compliance activities such as audits.Assist in the development & implementation of key health, safety & wellbeing initiatives and programs.Assist in the establishment & rollout of key safety initiative education & awareness programs.Complete incident investigations & assist to identify & implement corrective actions.Develop and maintain policies and proceeduresAssist in the roll out and administration of the new CHL incident, hazard and risk management database*This role may also involve some travel to Regional NSW As our preferred candidate, you will have strong skills in influencing, engaging & coaching stakeholders across the organisation in addition to;Diploma or Cert. IV HSW or significant demonstrated experience in a similar positionExperience conducting safety inspections, risk assessments and incident investigationsComprehensive knowledge of WHS Legislation and Codes of PracticeAbility to prioritise workloads to meet project and BAU commitments Experience in delivering education and training programsProven experience and ability to work autonomously within a team to achieve deadlines and targetsPrevious experience within Human Services/Health Care or Aged Care industry - AdvantageAbility to provide evidence of Covid ImmunisationCatholic Healthcare is a leading not-for-profit provider of residential aged care, home and community services and retirement living across NSW and SE QLD.
