The Role:
Based at the premier gateway to Australia - Sydney Airport, Assetlink invites you to embark on an exciting journey with us as an Airport Operations Manager.
In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to work closely with internal and external stakeholders, contributing to service excellence and ensuring the best possible experience for passengers, staff, and contractors alike. Your expertise in industrial relations/employee relations will play a crucial role in fostering positive relationships and maintaining a harmonious work environment.
As the leader of a team, you will be responsible for developing and managing business strategies to achieve profitable service outcomes. This includes overseeing exciting innovation and change management projects that drive continuous improvement and enhance our operational efficiency.
What you will be doing:
Manage and coordinate the Airport operations effectively and efficiently – ensuring client satisfaction
Develop and manage business strategies to achieve profitable service outcomes including managing all innovation projects
Provide hands-on and strategic leadership, direction and management of the Airport Terminal Managers, other key managers and their teams
Develop skills and competencies of the operational management team
Manage team members and relevant subcontractors
Show leadership in the maintenance of our Safety Culture and Values
Implement and monitor work practices and standards to ensure quality, environmental and safe work procedures are adhered to
Contribute to presentations to prospective client stakeholders in order to achieve continuous improvement objectives
Oversight of the preparation of quotations
Prepare regular reports and analysis of business achievements, opportunities and targets, including risk assessments, cost benefit and SWOT analysis
Manage the financial outcomes including full P&L responsibility
You will have:
Relevant tertiary qualifications or extensive work-related experience
Experience in managing multiple and complex operations
Ability to lead, educate and develop managers and their teams
Detailed understanding of the major factors influencing customer/client behaviour
Superior change management skills
Demonstrated innovation project experience
Proven project management experience
Knowledge of union and statutory requirements pertaining to operations, e.g.: WorkCover, Awards, EEO & Diversity laws, statutes, regulations etc.
Cleaning / Services industry experience - advantageous
