Do you possess a keen eye for market trends and a knack for translating complex data into actionable recommendations? If so, we invite you to join our dynamic team as a Commercial Analyst.

The role is broad and varied, with no two days being the same and would suit an efficient, adaptable & hard-working individual, who is interested in the challenges and rewards of operating under an ultra-high growth company. You'll also provide commercial decision support through the effective use of insights and analytics, where required.

This role is suited to a driven individual who wants to add value and make an impact.

Key Responsibilities:

M&A / Deal Timeline

  • Develop a strong understanding of the acquisition processes, key concepts & deal timeline stages;
  • Develop an efficient and accurate process of unpacking & setting up new acquisitions;
  • Develop an understanding & take ownership of the 60-day settlements & acquisition pipeline; and
  • Assist with other M&A base work including (but not limited to) earnout calculations, business valuations and travel sheets.

Reporting and analysis

  • Develop an understanding of Navision, Pronto and Modlr and assist with the review and analysis of the monthly Support Office (SO) P&L's for the relevant Department Leaders.
  • Enhance the accuracy of the SO P&L's through coordinating with other departments and reporting on any key adjustments or reallocation journals required.
  • Assisting with preparation of board report slides, P&L/ balance sheet reconciliations and any ad hoc business cases and reports as and when required.

Business Development

  • Develop a strong working relationship with key stakeholders, including deal BD managers, vendors and all support office departments.
  • Assist with maintaining, developing and the continuous improvement of relevant BD templates, including acquisition checklist & questionnaires, NBIOs, reporting templates etc.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Solid communication skills to be able to collaborate with a range of stakeholders from data warehousing specialists through to clinic and executive management.
  • Report building and data visualisation expertise using PowerBI and Tableau.
  • Previous experience with multi-site operations and preparation of multi-site KPI management reports, including regular revenue and labour reporting
  • Ability to analyse and synthesize business requirements, including recognizing patterns and conceptualizing processes.
  • High level of computer literacy and a good knowledge of contemporary information and communication technologies.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and ability to analyse data sets to identify patterns and opportunities.
  • A propensity to be innovative and take initiative.
  • Strong time management skills with the capacity to adapt to and seamlessly accommodate to change as needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply an analytical and commercial approach to decision making, and following this through to implement effective solutions.
  • Experience within the Veterinarian, Retail, Franchising or Health Industry.
  • A tertiary level qualification in IT, Commerce, Business, Finance or other area relevant to the position and/or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and training.
