This position is responsible for:
Corporate Finance
- Financial & Management Reporting –
- development and maintenance of timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are appropriate for the users and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- monthly management reporting and submission of Group reporting pack via OneStream
- Budget & Forecasting –
- annual budget and Business Plan preparation in consultation with the CFO and MD
- monthly cash and P&L forecast updates.
- documentation and maintenance of complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions
- Compliance – meeting all statutory requirements of the organisation including Income Tax, Goods and Services Tax, FBT, Workers Compensation,
- CoSec Matters - Annual solvency process, Blueprint assurance,
- Audit – Preparation all supporting information for the annual audit and liaise with the Group Audit and the external auditors as necessary
- Treasury – development and maintenance of financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable and credit control. Liaising with CIMIC Treasury.
- Ensuring compliance with internal policies relating to procurement and approval of expenditure.
Pacific’s Investments:
- Monitoring and reporting for investments:
- Maintain financial records for each investment in a manner that facilitates efficient reporting
- Provide accurate and timely reporting on the investments
- Provide valuation of investments
- Facilitate or support divestment of investments as they arise
- Ensure on-boarding of new investments in a timely and efficient manner.
- Consider technical accounting treatment of Pacific’s investments
- Regular engagement with SPV finance teams, review of management and statutory accounts and provision of technical accounting support to investments as required under the Lead Sponsor Agreement.
Finance Support Services to SPVs (as required):
- End to end financial reporting (including management, statutory, treasury and accounts payable/receivable)
- Annual budget and regular cashflow forecasting
- Management of external audit
- Tax compliance, including income tax, GST and non-resident withholding tax
- Company secretary function
- Input into board reporting and presentations
Education, Experience and Skills required:
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance and / or Business
- CA or CPA essential
- Preferably big 4 trained
- PPP and/or renewable energy experience preferred but not essential. Other infrastructure, utilities or investment experience well regarded.
