About the Role

The Finance Manager is essential to providing accurate and timely management reports in accordance with an established reporting cadence. This position reports directly to the CFO and will lead a small team.

The successful person will possess sound knowledge of accounting principles which will provide a solid foundation for a quality working relationship with the CFO. Although this position has a strong focus on transactional operations and will often be the first point of contact regarding financial questions from managers, we are also looking for someone who can deliver insights from the numbers – not just report them.

The ability to collaborate with colleagues at every level of accountability and at all locations throughout the organisation is essential.

More specifically, you will:

  • Manage the delivery of month end within the reporting cadence and prepare management reports.
  • Management of team across all aspects of transactional finance activities including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Payroll.
  • Ensure monthly reconciliations are performed as required to ensure accuracy and compliance with high quality accounting and regulatory standards as directed by the CFO.
  • Working Capital and Cashflow management and reporting.
  • Apply for government and other grant applications as directed by the CFO.
  • Compliance with all statutory requirements including taxation obligations.
  • Provide mentoring support to the team and identify opportunities to deliver synergies, cost savings and added value within the Finance Department and throughout the organisation.
  • Analyse financial metrics for discrepancies or issues that should be brought to the CFO’s attention.
  • Proactively collaborate cross functionally to raise the understanding and awareness of finance metrics and the levers to drive improvement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to support the annual budget and forecast process.
  • Provide input into the development of the ‘growth by sharing’ results-based employee incentive programs and reward for a culture of innovation whilst ensuring that employees have sufficient financial literacy to understand and make meaningful improvements to their results.

About You

The successful candidate needs to demonstrate the following experience, competencies and skills:

  • Qualifications commensurate with role requirements: Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics.
  • Three or more years of experience in a finance role in an organisation exceeding ~$50M annual revenue.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills, and disciplined execution of projects.
  • Network building with other subject matter experts.
  • Collaborative team player with positive agile mindset and can-do attitude.
  • Integrity and transparency in all activities and a demonstration of Hidrive’s core values.
  • Positive supporter of strategic and creative ideas as presented by the management team.
