St Augustine's Outside School Hours Care is currently looking for a dedicated and self-motivated individual to join our team as a permanent Assistant Coordinator.

Our centre, located in Augustine Heights, offers before school care, after school care, and vacation care services to up to 120 children. We are committed to creating a happy and safe environment that supports the well-being, learning, and personal development of primary school-aged children.

Position Details

  • Position: Assistant Coordinator
  • Location: St Augustine's Outside School Hours Care, Augustine Heights
  • Hours: Full-time - 38 hours per week
  • Remuneration: $29.15 to $34.39 per hour, as per the Children’s Services Modern Award 2010 (dependent on qualifications and experience).

Key Responsibilities

As an Assistant Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of our service. This includes:

  • Program planning, delivery, and documentation.
  • Staff rostering and supervision.
  • Administration and financial management tasks (e.g., fee collection).
  • Assisting in the delivery of a high-quality, inclusive, educational program.
  • Providing children with a safe, secure, welcoming, and nurturing environment.
  • Promoting the service within the local community in alignment with the Vision, Mission, and Values of Catholic Early EdCare.

Job Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following criteria:

  • Diploma in Children Services or equivalent as per ACECQA guidelines.
  • Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), First Aid, CPR, Asthma/Anaphylaxis certification.
  • Consent to be the Responsible Person on site in the absence of the Coordinator.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place framework, and National Law/Regulations.
  • Experience in the education and care of children.
  • Effective computer skills, including experience with childcare management software (Xplor preferred).
  • Effective workplace communication and leadership skills, demonstrating the ability to make persuasive and appealing presentations.
