To support our next exciting phase of growth, our Brand team is in need of an extra pair of hands. Not just any hands though… we need a strategic, yet tactical and passionate pair of hands with experience working with global markets that will put on the tanning mitt and get into all areas that ensure our brand (& tans) remain streak-free.


About the role

Reporting to the Director of Brand & Content, the Senior Brand Marketing Manager will be responsible for the development, planning and execution of the global brand strategy and positioning across all global campaigns, new product launches and strategic brand projects, whilst collaborating closely with APAC, NA and EMEA markets to meet local market relevance and brand consistency.


As the ultimate brand guardian, you will be responsible for managing brand compliance and ensuring brand comprehension across all regional and global marketing teams, both strategically and creatively. Working collaboratively with internal Creative and Product Development teams, you will help guide the strategic vision of all innovation and activations that deliver business growth.


Key responsibilities include:

  • drive the brand vision, mission, goals and strategies to manage the brand growth, awareness & equity globally
  • drive the development and execution of our brand­ strategy by partnering with creative, marketing and product teams to bring these strategies to life
  • manage the brand tone of voice for self tan, sun-care and skincare categories, ensuring consistency across all brand communications and campaigns
  • deliver global brand strategies to regional teams, ensuring delivery of brand tools, messaging and content required for new product launches and campaigns
  • work cross functionally with internal stakeholders & partners to ideate, implement and execute brand campaigns with a strong focus on performance marketing metrics
  • conduct market surveys / customer research and track and measure brand health dashboards to develop key brand metrics for the business
  • monitor brand health, category, segment and consumer trends to identify customer & category insights and provide recommendations for improving customer experiences, and opportunities
  • act as a brand champion for our global brand strategy by being a matrix connect for regional Brand teams and educating them on the Bondi Sands Brand and Marketing strategy
  • work closely with regional marketing teams to understand local market nuances, consumer behaviour, and competitive landscape to tailor campaign messaging and creative assets
  • support the Junior Brand Manager in project managing global brand, product and campaign plans from brief to execution, working cross-functionally with marketing channel teams, regional marketing teams and the Creative & Content teams
  • actively participate in the product development process, collaborating with cross-functional teams to infuse the brand into new product initiatives from the early stages including using brand insights and consumer perspectives to inform product concept development, features, and positioning
  • evaluate, provide feedback and approve brand assets in creative and campaign meetings, always maintaining brand quality standards
  • develop performance metrics to effectively analyse and report on brand campaigns and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising branding and associated campaigns, promotions and activities


As a key leader within the team, the Senior Brand Marketing Manager will architect productive team processes that promote collaboration, efficiency, and communication, acting as a key leadership support to the Director and broader brand, creative & content teams.


The ideal candidate

You have 6+ years of in-house brand and marketing experience within a reputable brand offering omni-channel retail, ideally within the beauty / health / FMCG space, with demonstrated experience developing winning marketing strategies in global markets. You are incredibly passionate about building brands, with tact for driving innovative and captivating 360 marketing campaigns and activations that have resulted in significant growth and market share.


With a deep understanding of our core customer (Gen Z and Millennial), you will bring that rare but spectacular combination of strategic, creative and innovative thinking which enables you to drive strategy that connects with and engages our community of Bondi Babes. With your dazzling creative flair, you’re an out-of-the-box thinker who can build brand growth through strong leadership and direction.


You are an astute collaborator and are confident in communicating plans, strategies and translating these into commercial successes. You are an influential negotiator and able to take all levels of people, including senior leaders and directors on the journey. Your team members would describe you as a passionate leader, who empowers those around them, drives innovation and celebrates the success of their team.
