About the Role

We are currently seeking an ITS Electrical Standards Engineer for our Metropolitan Region based in East Perth. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a progressive and innovative team dedicated to providing our customers with a safe, reliable and sustainable road-based transport system.

This position will provide specialist support for the maintenance of Intelligent Transport Systems’ (ITS) electrical standards including specifications, designs and drawings and specialist engineering support to ensure ITS assets meet the relevant electrical requirements.

You will lead ITS Innovation through researching technology, standards and suitable national and international ‘best practice’ examples for application within Main Roads and will be required to prepare proposals for technical improvement for standards and specification committees and working groups.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have considerable skill, knowledge and experience in ITS electrical design and standards along with demonstrated preparation of ITS electrical specifications. You will also need considerable experience in ITS electrical applications, solutions, and systems.

  • Research, analysis and problem solving.
  1. A copy of your current Western Australian motor vehicle (car) Driver’s Licence or approved equivalent.
  1. A copy of your Degree in Electronic Engineering or Computer Systems Engineering or other relevant discipline.
