About the roleThe Senior Infrastructure Services Officer is responsible for identifying, assessing and acquiring strategic land parcels for a growing education demand, including development of new schools and the expansion of existing schools. The team covers a broad range of property functions and you will be required to provide strategic advice in relation to leasing, tenure, management and transactions including compensation matters. The role includes undertaking detailed due diligence and stakeholder engagement to identify and de-risk priority sites and strategic opportunities to facilitate the delivery of the expanding education portfolio.
As the Senior Infrastructure Services Officer, you will:
* Provide operational advice and support to various areas of the department on a diverse range of property related matters, facility planning, investment and portfolio operations that ensure the implementation of quality management practices.
* Management of freehold and non-freehold land, tenure conversion and corrections, environmental management, native title assessment, community use agreements, leasing, access arrangements and easement creation working with service providers.

About You
To be successful in the role you will possess the following attributes:
* Demonstrated high level of negotiation and communication skills
* Knowledge of or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of legislation and departmental policy pertaining to real estate management including but not limited to the Land Act and Acquisition of Land Act
* Demonstrated ability to be flexible and manage multiple competing priorities within short timeframes
* Accurate record keeping and reporting capabilities
* Although not mandatory, appropriate tertiary qualifications or at least 5 years industry experience in property services, including town planning, would be beneficial
