Our Region Tax team provides services to Baker Hughes legal entities across the world in partnership with other Finance functions.
Partner with the best
Services include US and local GAAP tax accounting, preparing tax returns and workpapers (CIT, VAT/GST, WHT, Local Taxes, and TP reporting). Organizing tax payments and reconciliations. Providing support and responses for tax audits, and supporting projects.
As a Tax Manager (ANZ & PNG), you will be responsible for:

Managing tax matters for BH legal entities in ANZ & PNG. Supporting local implementation of global tax projects and initiatives.

Monitoring new tax legislative and regulatory developments. Providing updates and training to other relevant teams on timely basis.

Collaborating with business teams to support the implementation of tax opportunities, funding and strategic initiatives consistent with compliance policies and procedures.

Advising and supporting on tax matters in commercial deals review, contracts execution and daily operation of BH legal entities.

Managing relationship with local tax authorities. Advising and leading tax audits, assurance reviews, defense and settlement of audited tax return positions.

Reviewing tax returns and other tax commitments. Collaborating with relevant internal teams, external consultants and auditors. Monitoring tax risks and opportunities.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:

Have Bachelor's degree (or similar) in Accounting, Finance or other business-related field
-
Have at least 5 years of experience working as a tax professional in large multinational companies, big 4 firms or tax shared service centres.

Possess excellent knowledge of tax laws and regulations. Show a high level expertise in direct tax processes and compliance.

Demonstrate management skills to review work of others and lead workflows.

Have ability to technically discuss tax issues with Controllership, Corporate Tax, business, external consultants, local tax authorities and auditors.

Display excellent communications skills. Comfortable delivering against quantitative and qualitative performance metrics.

Have written and verbal fluency in English.

Have experience with accounting and tax systems. Experience with Oracle, SAP and OneSource is an added advantage.
