About the team
Our continued investment in the Private Wealth business brings broader opportunities to our clients and leverages the strong relationships with our corporate banking, business banking and retail banking businesses. This role will sit within Commonwealth Private's Wealth team, supporting the Investment Research Team, Distribution Team, Advice Team and Platform Operations Team.
About the opportunity
Reporting into the Chief Investment Officer, the Senior Manager Investment Operations is a key contributor to the development of the operational framework for the Private Wealth offering and is a combination of rigorous analysis that drives delivery of quality operational outcomes for the Investment Research Team.
In this role you will gather and analyse relevant data and information from a variety of sources, using a range of analysis tools to prepare reports on findings and present recommendations to stakeholders. You will also analyse a broad range of investment products and processes to ensure compliance with related laws and regulations as well as help drive operational efficiencies in their delivery.
Finally, an integral requirement of the role will be to participate and drive the administration of the Product Management Committee (supporting the independent chair), Board Investment Committee submissions and the Approved and Non-approved Product Lists.
Additionally, you will:
- Analyse, develop, and enhance the operational framework for the Investment Research Team within Private Wealth.
- Develop procedures and processes for efficient investment delivery and to ensure adherence to regulatory obligations.
- Assist in the development of interaction protocols between the Investment Research Team, Distribution Team, Advice Team and Platform Operations Team.
- Facilitate the key Stakeholder management process including administration of the Product Management Committee, Board Investment Committee submissions and the Approved and Non-approved Product Lists.
- Drive and administer exemplary Investment Governance across the Private Wealth offering.
- When required, gather and analyse relevant financial data and economic information from a variety of sources, using financial modelling tools and techniques.
- When required, prepare investment reports on findings and financial analyses; present recommendation on investment activities.
About you
To be successful, you will have:
- 5+ years' experience as a product, investment or business analyst in the wealth or financial markets sector.
- Experience in business and product management and analysis.
- Good understanding of tools and methodologies to improve business quality and efficiency.
- Strong technical writing skills.
- Good understanding of the investment process, the range of investment markets and financial instruments.
- Strong numeric, modelling, and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and take ownership of tasks.
- Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills.
