About The Role:

Reporting to the Manager, Teacher Development, you will play a pivotal role in contributing significantly to the professional growth of our teachers across BKI. You'll be at the heart of teacher development, collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance pedagogical practices and uplift capabilities. Your responsibilities will encompass understanding VET pedagogy deeply, and crafting and delivering professional development programs aligned with the BKI Teacher Capability Framework.

You'll serve as a subject matter expert in specific teaching competencies and VET pedagogies (including blended delivery and flipped learning), positioning yourself as a trusted advisor and trainer in these areas. Additionally, your role involves developing blended learning solutions infused with effective pedagogy and adult learning principles, thereby fostering an environment conducive to positive education practices.

We are excited about you because you have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (minimum TAE50116: Diploma of Vocational Education and Training and higher-level qualification in adult education or equivalent) and significant relevant experience, including knowledge and skills over a broad range of teacher capability development priorities and requirements.
  • Proven ability in the design and development of blended learning solutions that develop teachers' training and assessment practice, with demonstrated ability in successfully applying appropriate pedagogy, adult learning and positive education principles.
  • Proven ability to deliver engaging and inspiring training, workshops, training and mentoring in a way that achieves skill development and supports behaviour change.
  • Relevant areas of specialisation (VET pedagogy, teaching, assessment, delivery facilitation, positive education and teacher wellbeing)

  • Relevant compliance documents including Working with Children Clearance (WWCC), current police check, certified right to work documentation
