Role:

I'm looking for a seasoned clinician. Alongside your experience, this role requires genuine passion to help people, enthusiasm, and an empathetic nature.

As a Senior Clinician, this role sees you use your coaching and mentorship skills, supporting staff, enhancing their capacity and practice sense, and assisting with clinician reviews and expertise.

This project involves direct client work, involving some ad-hoc travel into the community, professional development sessions on topics such as drug use and alcohol, and embraces a transdisciplinary model with clinician and peer assessments.

The position offers an opportunity for clinicians to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals facing AOD related mental health challenges. There are opportunities for growth, with a professional development allowance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to staff, enhancing their capacity and practice sense
  • Assist with clinician reviews and offer expertise when needed
  • Host professional development sessions on relevant topics
  • Engage in direct client work
  • Contribute to the success of the innovative transdisciplinary model
  • Embrace the "Peer first/peer last" program philosophy
  • Explore potential outreach opportunities
  • Work in a walk-in center environment and manage referrals
Requirements:
  • Degree qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Nursing, or Occupational Therapy.
  • Eligibility for registration with appropriate bodies
  • Experience in supporting staff and case management
  • Previous involvement in mental health or aged care sectors
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a car
  • Based in Whittlesea
