About the Position

The Senior Regulation Officer (Uninsured Claims) is responsible for the management of various types of claims and compliance activities in accordance with the Workers’ Compensation and Injury Management Act 1981 (the Act).

The position undertakes a broad scope of duties, including:

  • Receiving and responding to enquiries and notifications about uninsured claims.
  • Liaising with the Insurance Commission of Western Australia (ICWA), WorkCover WA’s external legal counsel and other legal entities regarding claims.
  • Conducting investigations into uninsured claims
  • Attending meetings in WorkCover WA’s Conciliation and Arbitration Services regarding uninsured claims.
  • Providing periodic case status and financial status reports to the WorkCover WA Board regarding active/open cases.
  • Providing advice and support regarding dependency claims.

The Senior Regulation Officer (Uninsured Claims) is an Inspector for the purposes of the Act.

To be successful in this position prospective applicants should possess:

  • Demonstrated experience in claims management.
  • Proved, well-developed organisation and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

Selection Methodology

A variety of assessment methodologies may be used throughout the recruitment process, including but not limited to:

  • Referee checks.

The successful applicant will be required to complete a National Police Clearance.
