Job Description

This is an exciting time to join our People and Culture Branch embracing the agile mindset and HR practices to incrementally deliver value to our clients. Currently, we have two vacant team leader positions available for immediate filling.

The Senior HR Systems Consultant is responsible for the technical facilitation and delivery of Human Resource System projects including payroll and learning management systems, in line with business requirements, process improvement and change initiatives to support the DBCA to achieve relevant, efficient and effective management of key business objectives.

The Senior HR Reporting and Analysis Consultant works closely with management and key stakeholders to develop and implement innovative strategies to extract, deliver and analyse organisational data and information. Provides advice and analysis to guide departmental policy and decision-making, including forecasting trends and issues in the context of the agency and government policy.

Selection Criteria

Senior HR Systems Consultant

  1. Demonstrated experience across the payroll management function and HR systems both within a multifaceted agency, and to external agencies on a purchaser/provider basis.
  2. Knowledge of and ability to interpret and advise on the payroll aspects of relevant legislation, awards, superannuation, taxation and salary packaging.
  3. Demonstrated detailed knowledge and experience in the use and administration of a Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS) and Employee Self-Service Application.
  4. Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Senior HR Reporting and Analysis Consultant

  1. Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership in data management, including data extraction, manipulation, reporting and modelling.
  2. Demonstrated current experience in the management of data methodologies and techniques and the ability to use these to identify data patterns and trends, including the ability to understand new Business Intelligence (BI) technologies and implement a quality reporting solution in an organisation.
  3. Experience working with contemporary coding languages such as Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) and Structured Query Language (SQL), technologies and development methodologies to create scalable and production ready data model solutions.
  4. Demonstrated experience in directing, guiding, mentoring and coaching staff.

Note: The successful applicants will be required to possess or obtain a current (issue date not older than 6 months) and satisfactory National Police Check prior to commencement.
