Join our client as a Trade Manager, overseeing operations within a successful timber and hardware business. Your responsibilities will span many aspects of the business, from counter and phone inquiries to online quotations. With a focus on customer satisfaction, stock management, and achieving sales targets, you will play a pivotal role in their continued success.

The Role:
- Managing a Small Team: Lead and supervise a small team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure team cohesion and productivity
- Counter, Phone, and Online Sales and Quotations: Engage with customers both in-person and over the phone, providing expert advice, processing sales transactions, and generating quotations to meet their needs
- Stock Replenishment: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely replenishment of stock, minimising out-of-stock situations and optimising product availability
- Stock Management of Floor Stock: Maintain organised and visually appealing displays of floor stock, ensuring products are prominently showcased and readily accessible to customers
- General Housekeeping: Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organisation throughout the retail space, including aisles, shelves, and customer service areas, to create a welcoming and professional environment
- Sales Targets and KPIs: Work towards achieving sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs), utilising effective sales techniques and strategies to drive revenue and profitability
- Prepare Orders for Internal Branches: Process internal orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery of products to internal branches to meet operational requirements
- Merchandising of Stock and Specials: Implement merchandising strategies to highlight featured products, promotions, and specials, maximising visibility and driving sales
- Reporting Directly to the Director: Provide regular updates and reports on sales performance, inventory management, and other relevant metrics to the director, offering insights and recommendations for improvement
