About the role

Part of the Department of Enterprise, Industry and Trade cluster, Create NSW is focused on growing and supporting the arts, culture and creative industries in NSW for everyone to enjoy.
Underpinning our work is the NSW Government’s 10-year arts, culture and creative industries policy, Creative Communities , which recognises the unique place of the sector in NSW and places culture at the heart of the state.
Creative Communities is grounded in five guiding principles that prioritises First Nations culture and provides a framework with a series of commitments that will inform Create NSW’s work for the next decade to support the arts, culture and creative industries to flourish and enhance the lives of everyone in NSW.

The Creative Economy team aims to strengthen and drive the economic development of the arts and culture, and creative industries sectors and support the activation of our communities.

The Data and Systems Officer supports the implementation, maintenance and delivery of administration and data/information systems relevant to investment and funding programs and provides technical advice and support to support effective planning, administration and decision making.

In this role you will:

  • Coordinate administration, data collection and records management relevant to investment and funding programs.
  • Maintain relevant tools and information resources, and provide training and technical support to system users.
  • Produce regular and ad-hoc reports, and contribute to analysis that supports the planning and decision making associated with policy/program development, investments and funding programs.
  • Provide administrative and operational support across the broader team such as organising and supporting meetings and events, maintaining records and preparing documentation.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven relevant technical knowledge of and experience with grants management, including experience supporting a team.
  • Ability to deliver on multiple tasks concurrently and accurately in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction and supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal skills and can adapt your communication style to a variety of stakeholders.
