We’re looking for a professional Data and Business Analyst with relevant experience who wants to join our team on a maximum-term full-time contract until 30 June 2025, working 38 hours per week based in Fitzroy.

THE ROLE

The Data and Business Analyst position works with the Integrated Employment Services (IES) team to lead the delivery of program data management, reporting activities and data analysis to conduct improvements of the data collection process and rules, including monitoring against agreed performance measurements and indicators, to meet contractual and evidentiary requirements for both internal and external stakeholders. This position also works in close collaboration with the CYI Data and Reporting Manager, the Senior Program Officer (Monitoring and Learning) and other internal stakeholders to deliver outcomes

  • Maintain knowledge of the various contractual and funding requirements related to data and reporting for IES and lead the maintenance of reports, data integrity processes and data inconsistencies identification and rectification.
  • Project manage inputs from across the team and analyse data to create narrative reports or written contributions to policy submissions which may be used in advocacy to government as part of action plans and research submissions.
  • Liaise with IES teams to document business requirements of data management systems, such as Efforts to Outcomes, Snapforms and PowerBI and coordinate development of required change.

Salary will be in the range of $84,506.61 to $90,928.23 per annum, based on skills and experience plus superannuation.

To be considered for the role and be successful in it, we’re looking for someone who has the following key skills and experiences:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Data Management, Statistics, Computer Science or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience in leading the coordination of complex projects and initiatives, particularly in performance monitoring, data quality, and reporting.
  • Experience with Client Management Systems (CMS) such as Efforts to Outcomes or other software/applications such as Power BI, Power Automate/Apps, SharePoint and WEBI SAP Business Objects. Experience with SQL is desirable
  • Proven strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data to drive business improvements and decisions.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills including the ability engage and communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
