Description:

You will be responsible and accountable for preparing, cooking and assembling food to client specifications, maintaining a clean work environment whilst ensuring all food

safety and hygiene practices are followed and inline with council regulations. Ongoing training facilitation and time to time skills enhancement is a core requirement.

• To randomly examine cooked and uncooked food on a regular basis in accordance

with health regulations

• Food preparation, cooking and presenting of dishes according to company

guidelines/ customer preferences and dietary requirements as per menu

• Assisting in day-to-day kitchen activities mainly to do with the food preparation work

• Liaise with staff, food service and restaurant management regarding customers’ order

and general service of kitchen operations

• Maintain a safe and hygienic working environment, to include proper storage of food,

equipment, utensils and implements, prevention of working environment hazards and

accidents at work, following accident, first aid and emergency procedure.

• Temperature checks of fridges, freezers, storage areas, deliveries, and recording

assessment daily

• To manage day-to day of the cold room under supervision including checking food

temperatures as outlined above and following sanitation guidelines below.

• Abiding by all legal requirements, food hygiene regulations and food safety laws and

understanding council regulations, food health and safety issues

• To meet day-to day set job criteria outlined by the management

• To handle other kitchen duties other than cooking. i.e., utility work as and when

required

• Cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting all kitchen areas with other staff assistance

• Complete all paperwork accurately, legibly, and clearly

· Complete timesheets for other staff and have them verified by supervisor.

• Attend weekly meetings and training sessions as requested

• Comply with all other legal obligations, company policies and practices

• Assisting in the cooking and serving of complex meals in accordance with health

regulations

• To maintain health and quality of the environment and food prepared

• Other ad-hoc duties

Salary will be $70000 pa plus Super
