Our client have recently acquired a private practice with an established client base in Melbourne's northeastern suburbs, supporting mainly children and adolescents in the local community through various referral avenues including NDIS and GPs.
About the Role
Our client is seeking to appoint an AHPRA generally registered Psychologist, to support clients on site in Eltham, in Melbourne's northeastern suburbs.
As a professional Psychologist you will be tasked with establishing a rapport and building trust with mainly children and adolescents. By performing clinical assessments to identify each client’s needs, you will then work to improve their goals relating to health, relationships and/or general wellbeing.
Once challenges are identified, you will deliver the best and most suitable therapeutic techniques to meet their individual needs. You will also assist in the development of plans that may include the provision of multiple internal and external services.
This position would suit a psychologist with an interest in working with young people and children, and to have previous experience providing assessment and therapeutic intervention to children aged 3 plus.
The salary / rate offered is very competitive, with option of either a salaried employee contract or a licensee/sub-contractor arrangement.
To be successful you will have:

• Relevant qualification in Psychology
• Current full AHPRA registration
• Strong clinical and assessment skills
• An enthusiasm for helping children and adolescents
• Ability to work flexibly and autonomously
• Excellent rapport building abilities
• Demonstrated qualities of resilience, empathy, integrity and compassion
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• The ability to pass both a Federal Police Check and a Working with Children Check
