About The Client:Our esteemed Financial Services client, renowned for its customer-centric products, award winning performance, and exceptional value, is seeking a skilled Data Governance & Security Manage r to join their dynamic team. Reporting directly to the Head of Technology, you'll be at the forefront of driving the Data Governance Framework and spearheading Information Security operations within the Technology department.
As our client embarks on an enterprise-wide transformation, this pivotal role will see you establishing and nurturing relationships with key business representatives, while championing awareness of data management across the organisation.
What Success Looks Like:
- Implement the Data Governance Framework and Policy by establishing the Data Office within the Technology department.
- Collaborate with Data Business Owners to grasp the fundamental business function of data and ensure its efficient handling.
- Cultivate and sustain relationships with business representatives to facilitate high-quality data management practices.
- Develop and manage processes to govern data changes in alignment with the Data Governance Framework.
- Establish and maintain training programs to enhance awareness of data management throughout the organisation.
- Oversee Information Security operations, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the safety of information systems and data.
- Maintain data integrity in accordance with Technology Strategy, Information Security, and IT frameworks, in collaboration with business representatives.
- Create and uphold the Data Strategy, aligning with the Corporate Strategy and technology roadmap to outline objectives, initiatives, roadmap, and KPIs for data management and governance.
Skills That Make You Stand Out:
- Possess a minimum of eight years' experience in the IT industry within financial services, with a strong understanding of data architecture and governance functions.
- Demonstrate expertise in Information Security management specific to financial services.
- Showcase strong stakeholder management, leadership, governance, and change management skills.
- Exhibit strong data management capability alongside exceptional organisational and time management skills.
