Atlas Copco's Power Technique business area provides air, power and flow solutions through products and service such as mobile compressors, pumps, light towers and generators, along with a number of complementary products.

Your Role

The Human Resource Business Partner, reporting to the General Manager, will partner with the Customer Centre Management Team and other members of the leadership team to leverage HR practices to drive needed business results. The position will provide support for employees and management in the day-to-day areas of HR and work within a network of HR professionals throughout the region and globally.

Your mission:

  • Be responsible for all aspects of HR in the company, such as recruitment and selection, learning and development, talent management, HR department management, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and mobility, while also working in our Atlas Copco Group HR network to capitalize on synergies and help shape our global HR strategy.
  • Monitor, measure, and report on HR issues, opportunities, and development plans and achievements within agreed formats and timescales.
  • Coach and counsel managers and supervisors on Employee Relations and performance management issues.
  • Assist all employees with the interpretation of company policies/procedures. Give guidance as needed.
  • Implementation of AC Group and Business area initiatives including the People Full Potential plan.
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state industrial relations legislation and agreements concerning employment laws and practices.
  • Coordinate corporate and local employee engagement surveys (Insight, other), interpret their results, and drive initiatives in response to improve company morale.
  • Be a pro-active member of the team, always challenging convention and seeking a better way.
  • Contribute to the relevant HR networks within the region and the business area globally
  • To develop, promote and embrance full ownership of activities to promote our employer branding;
  • To closely manage the HR KPIs and scorecards, providing full support for presentations, management meetings and company review meetings;
  • To take ownership of human resources needs broadly, with a mindset of 'I'll take care of it'

To succeed, you will need

  • Minimum of 5 years HR experience
  • Bachelors Degree in HR or Related field preferred
  • Experience in a service based environment, heavy industry is a bonus
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Knowledge of HR legislation in an Australian environment
  • Ability to work in a self-directed manner
  • Well developed relationship building skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Good time management skill
  • Strong PC skills (especially MS Office products)
