Westpac
Dalby Full-day Full-time

Description:

How will I help?

This role is part of the Infrastructure and Service Management area at Westpac, and specifically within the ServiceNow platform engineering team.

As a Developer within this area, you will work on high-value initiatives at a ServiceNow platform level, delivering improvements in areas such as platform performance, automation and administration best practices.

Working within a broader Agile squad structure, you will work closely with platform SMEs and key stakeholders such as Product Owners and practice/process leads.

Your key responsibilities may include:

  • Support development of detailed solution designs and delivery estimates.
  • Use your technical skills to develop the solution and provide support for testing and deployment.
  • Work with platform engineering team members to identify opportunities for improvement and uncover existing problem areas.
  • Contribute to an evolving move to Site Reliability Engineering disciplines.

What's in it for me?

You will play an important and significant part in the future of a business that has been around for 200 years. Our vision is to become one of the world's great service companies. So, we will back you in the development of your career, with internal career prospects and flexible working. You will also be backed by a fantastic team of people in a can-do, supportive structure.

Whatever shape your family takes, we offer generous paid and unpaid parental leave for your nominated primary and support carers. This includes leave to organise adoptions, surrogacy, and foster care arrangements.

What do I need?

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the below skills:

  • Good knowledge of ITSM processes and ITIL with ITIL v4 certification preferred.
  • Experience with ServiceNow configuration, customisation and administration.
  • Relevant certifications such as ServiceNow CSA and CAD
  • Experience with Client Scripts, Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, and ACLs including skills for workflows (traditional and Flow Designer), Integration Hub and spokes and custom Service Portal widgets.
  • Functional knowledge of ServiceNow modules including ITSM, ITOM, IRM, CMDB, Report/ Performance/Platform Analytics and Service Catalog/Portal.
  • Knowledge of REST, API design best practices, modern web design (CSS, HTML, etc.), JavaScript, and Angular.

This is not a typical developer role - it offers an ambitious ServiceNow developer a chance to work on several innovative projects in our platform engineering backlog, and to stretch your existing skills within a team of like-minded ServiceNow practitioners.
